Ajay Srivastava
- Polity, Governance and Public Administration
Ajay Srivastava has been associated with ALS for the past 12 years. He brings a vast and varied experience along with expertise in a number of areas including the optional of Public Administration and important areas of General Studies like Indian Polity, Governance and Indian economy. Having had a formal technical background in electrical and electronics engineering and a specialisation in Governance, he carried with him a comprehensive multi- disciplinary understanding on various issues that helps in constructive engagement with students. He also supports them in their personal and interpersonal transformation through his expertise.
Arunesh Singh
- Economics
As a faculty of Economics, Arunesh Singh has been guiding the Civil Services aspirants since 1998 and has been associated with ALS for the past 16 years. He has an MA in Economics from Allahabad University. His command over the subject and an exceptional capacity of simplifying the difficult concepts of economics in an easy-to-understand way has made him very popular among aspirants. He has authored several books in both English and Hindi medium for civil services aspirants.
Alok S JHA
- History, Art and Culture
Alok S. Jha graduated from Delhi University in History and pursued LLB from Campus Law Centre (Delhi University). He has been guiding students in different areas of General Studies and History Optional for the last 16 years. Having experienced the whole process of Civil Services Examination from very close quarters as an aspirant, he could not resist himself from entering into the field of ‘Coaching’. He has also authored several books on History like Indian Culture, Art and Heritage–An Illustrated Journey, A Brief History of the Modern World and its Hindi translation, ‘Vishwa Ka Itihas’.
Shweta Singh

Shweta Singh has been associated with ALS for the past 8 years, guiding Civil Services aspirants in Sociology Optional and important areas of General Studies like Social Justice and CSAT (Reading Comprehension). She did her Post Graduation from the University of Delhi and LLB from Campus Law Centre (Delhi University). Her deep knowledge and passion for teaching are unmatched. She loves to interact with students and sharing new thoughts and ideas for analysing and catering to the challenging needs of this exam. She ensures that each student has absolute clarity on the topics that they discuss together and ensures that they leave her class better prepared and confident.
Himanshu Sharma
- Geography and Environment
Himanshu Sharma is a well-known teacher of Geography Optional in Civil Services preparation. He has more than 12 years of teaching experience and has developed a style, which is a perfect blend of desired simplicity and the required technicality in the subject. He brings together techniques of simple analysis in the most complex of the topics with a clear understanding and articulation of the subject. Dr. Shashi Shekhar

Dr. Shashi Shekhar has a PhD in Physics and is a name to reckon with amongst Hindi-medium UPSC aspirants for the last 18 years. Dr. Sanjay Pandey

Rishi Bhargav

Rishi Bhargava has extensive teaching experience in the field of Civil Services preparation. He teaches Civil Services Aptitude Test (General Mental Ability and Logical & Analytical Reasoning) at ALS Shalimar Place. His educational background (M.Phil. in Mathematics) enables him to develop a sound understanding of mathematical concepts and explain things simply and clearly, which is evident from his unique way of teaching.
